Volunteer public affairs directors from across the South Pacific met in Fiji this week to discuss ways to bring people together to lift communities.
The volunteers, all members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, came from Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Samoa, American Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu and Solomon Islands.
They were joined by guests from the USA, New Zealand and Australia.
The group discussed ways to work with government, other churches, news media and others to identify community needs and organise service to lend a hand.
They also talked about ways to involve more youth and young adults in community service.
