In addition to 7,500 COVID-19 tests, the donation also includes 40,000 bottles of sanitiser and PPE.
The PPE donation came about through a partnership with US-based “Project Hope.”
The donation of sanitiser bottles was a result of a local partnership with Rotary Club of Boroko and Acco Brands in Sydney, Australia.
“We are very grateful for the work being done by Government, hospital staff, and many others, to save lives and bless communities,” said Moasope McCarthy, a spokesperson for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“We are in this together and as we follow Jesus Christ’s teaching to love one another and help one another, we can get through this challenging season.”
