Celebrating Father’s Day

Three touching tales from the lives of everyday dads

Father's Day in New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea and Fiji is held annually on the first Sunday, of September.

The Pacific Newsroom of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is celebrating Father's Day by sharing three touching tales from the lives of everyday dads.

First: A father tells how Heavenly Father heard his plea for help.

Second: A young man applies three things Latter-day Saint Apostle, Elder M. Russell Ballard, said would improve his relationship with his father.

Third: A fun story showing how fatherly patience produces positive results.

“By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families.” The Family: A Proclamation to the World.
