This year, the April General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints falls on Easter weekend. In preparation for this event, the Church has initiated a campaign titled “Starting Today” which invites individuals to follow Jesus Christ.
To share this message with the peoples of the Pacific, billboards in Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand have been engaged.
In his Palm Sunday (28 March) message of peace and hope, Russell M. Nelson, President of the Church, said, “You can start today on a new spiritual quest...This Easter, I encourage you to focus on the Saviour.” He invites the world to remember Jesus Christ, follow His teachings and watch the Church’s April 2021 general conference.
Typically, people in the South Pacific gather in Church meetinghouses the weekend following to watch the conference. This April, members and friends of the Church can watch sessions online or on television in some locations. Radio is another option for many.
Church members and friends are invited to get information on television, radio and internet access to General Conference sessions in Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and the island nations and territories of the South Pacific here.
