In the coming days, members and friends of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Australia and New Zealand will have opportunities to listen to Elder Ulisses Soares, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, in person or by broadcast.
Elder Soares is visiting the two countries with his wife, Sister Rosana Soares. Elder Brent H. Nielson and Sister Marcia Nielson are accompanying the couple on the visit.
They will be hosted by members of the Pacific Area Presidency of the Church, and their wives: Elder Ian S. Ardern and Sister Paula Ardern; Elder K. Brett Nattress and Sister Shawna Nattress; and Elder Kazuhiko Yamashita and Sister Tazuko Yamashita.
Here are four ways to hear Elder Soares and other Church leaders speak:
- Saturday, 21 May, 6:00pm - 7:30pm (NZT): Youth devotional being broadcast live from New Zealand to all congregations in New Zealand and Australia. The broadcast will also be available for a delayed viewing in both countries as well as in the Pacific Islands.
- Sunday, 22 May, 10:00am -12 noon (NZT): A special Sunday meeting for all New Zealand congregations. This meeting will be held in lieu of the normal Sunday meetings and will be broadcast to meetinghouses.
