Auckland Young Adults Celebrate Cultural Diversity through Song and Dance

Over 600 Young Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Gather to Celebrate Cultural Diversity

Over 600 young members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered at Wesley College last weekend to celebrate the cultural diversity within the Church and more broadly in Auckland communities.

Performers from various areas across the Auckland region were assigned individual countries to represent through song and dance, some paying tribute to the Mormon pioneers who first arrived into each country.

Nations represented included New Zealand, France, South Africa, China, India, Mexico, Egypt, Argentina and Ireland.

Performer Jonathan Seve, from Panmure, said, “Everyone did an amazing job. I think we really got to see the different cultures around Auckland and the fact that we embrace it and love it.”
