Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in American Samoa are preparing for the Church’s worldwide April General Conference, which this year, falls on Easter weekend, 3-4 April 2021.
Several members there passed along some thoughts about how they prepare for watching the conference.
Aisa Ieremia from Pago Pago said, “As a mother, I need to prepare myself and my family to hear this session of conference. I will never forget the spirit of conference I felt last year because many of the talks were so powerful and they greatly increased my love for the Savior. Thanks for a living prophet who can communicate with our Father in Heaven and give guidance for His true gospel."
Faleula Aoelua from Aua said, "To get ready for this conference, I enjoy listening to past general conference talks. Since the broadcast is so early in the morning, I put out my church clothes the night before and I go to bed early. I make sure I have a pen and paper ready for notes. I have a drink and snacks nearby so I don't miss any of the talks."
Tasia Talamoni also from Aua said, "Listening to the prophet's reminders at conference about Jesus Christ's sacrifice always helps me evaluate whether I’m doing my part as He wants me to. My desire to be like the Saviour faces a lot of challenges but I have no doubt that I can work my way back to Him. He gave his life for me and I should never give up on my responsibility as a parent."
All five sessions of confernce will be broadcast on Blue Sky American Samoa on the following dates and times:
