“Kenape (Lesa) had always wanted to be an accountant” the Samoan Observer recently reported. However, despite graduating in the top ten in his class at Samoana High School in Pago Pago and obtaining a full scholarship from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Kenape, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, says he “… quickly realized how academically behind I was compared to an average B.Y.U. student.”
