American Samoan children from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints entertained their parents and neighbours during an evening of music, dance and celebration on 17 November 2018.
The theme of the night was: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22.6).

One local Church leader commented that children are sons and daughters of Heavenly Father and are blessed wtih various skills and talents.
Another participant said: "It was really a great night for the children to feel the love of Heavenly Father and the true happiness in knowing others in their surroundings."
Several parents and others in the audience expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be with their children and to enjoy their talents on the night.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints places a high importance on teaching children about God’s plan and helping them follow the example of Jesus Christ. To help accomplish this goal, the Church sponsors the Primary organization for children between the ages of 18 months and 11 years.
